Mom and Boys

Figuring it out one day at a time.

Phonography: The nightly take-over

It happens every night.

Without fail.

I go to bed alone.

And wake up to this.

I swear.

They have their own beds.

But sometime between 1:00 and 3:00 mom’s is just better.

  1. This made me freaking laugh, because this happens to me all the time lately. I SWORE I would never let my kid sleep in bed with me. Then I got pregnant again. And tired. And the kid got sick. And I didn’t care to sit up in the middle of the night and try to get her back to sleep.
    I’m weak, I tell you!

  2. They are so cute! Moms bed is the best!

  3. This is so precious. I miss these days! Just breathe in that lovely baby smell and enjoy. Before long, it’ll be a different smell–that of adolescent boy. Ugh:)

  4. Mine is 4 am like clockwork. It’s like the Amityville Horror. If you can’t read a clock…how do you always know that it’s four? 😉

  5. Awww, but what a nice thing to wake up to! Despite the lack of sleep it causes.

  6. yup it is. My middle guy has never really slept with us except for the nursing phase. Liam, took 6 years to get out of our bed. AvaRose just slept with us for nine months. She is our best sleeper. truth be told, I love having them in there with me. I feel comfortable and safe

  7. I deal with this every night. It never fails. I wake up to my older one licking my face like a dog. An actual dog licking my foot, and my 4 month old pulling my hair.
